The Tropics Take Down the Turtles for the First Time this Season
The Tropics take down the Snapping Turtles for the first time this season in a late evening thiller.
The Turtles scored the first run of the game in the top of the second inning and tack on another one in the third. In the bottom of the third, the Tropics get one back on an RBI double from Keaton Mahan (Ohio State).
With Ian Choi’s (Butler) 2 RBI triple and Camdin Jansen’s (Central Michigan) single, the Trops get back out on top with a 4-2 lead.
Austin Reed (Alabama Huntsville) scores another run by earning a walk to force in a run.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Turtles regained the lead, making it a one run game with the Turtles leading 6 to 5.
It was in the eighth when Jansen picked up his third hit of the day with a double, and Bradley White (South Suburban) scored Jansen with the go ahead RBI double.
Chase Mason (Carl Sandburg) took the mound for the Trops in the ninth and shut it down to capture the 7-6 victory.
