The Farmers Bank Bomb Squad (1-2) earned their first win of the season beating the Community First Bank Moon Shots (2-1) by a final score of 4-3. 

Timmy O’Brien (Bradley University) came up big for the Bomb Squad going 2-for-3 including a game-winning single in the bottom of the sixth driving in Winston Hill II (Moraine Valley) and Ryan Mollette (Transfer Portal). 

Mollette finished the game 1-for-3 with two runs scored while Hill II scored two runs of his own to go along with a stolen base in the fifth. 

Incoming freshman Carter McFarland (Ashland University) got the start for the Bomb Squad and managed a solid outing despite several errors by his defense. McFarland threw three innings giving up just one earned run on four hits and two walks with two strikeouts. 

Tyler Helgeson (Eastern Michigan) earned the win for the Bomb Squad throwing the games final two innings. Helgeson (EMU) struck out two batters and gave up just two hits with no runs allowed.

The Bomb Squad will return to the field on Sunday, June 12 at Championship Park in Kokomo as they look to make it two in a row against the Park Rangers (2-1).
