Turf Monsters get the win and stay in 1st place!

Turf Monsters took on the Snapping Turtles in a game that was heavily dependent on pitching! 
Turf Monsters starting pitcher, Jay Dill (Clemson), pitched 6 and 2/3 innings with 7 Ks, and 3 up, 3 down in the first, third and fifth inning. 
Nick Underwood (Danville Area CC), ended the game on the mound with 1 K and no runs. 
The Turf Monsters maintained stability on the mound while the Lids Snapping Turtles could not handle their pitch game. Four pitchers performed on the mound, and they collectively allowing 15 BB, 6 hits and 10 runs. The Snapping Turtles opened the door and the Monsters took advantage! 
Evan Kahre (Soutern Indiana) went two for three with two runs and four RBIs! He hit his first homer of the season in the bottom of the second earring 3 RBIs and tripled in the fourth with 1 RBI. 
Jered Geis (Transfer Portal), was 0 for two but had three runs. He singled, was walked twice and then stole two bases. One of his three runs was earned in the bottom of the sixth after Snapping Turtles pitcher G. Dehart BB four Turf Monsters. Geis (3) walked all the way  around the diamond.  
Lastly, Dylan Rost (UW-Whitewater), went two for three with one hit and two RBIs. With two singles, he was able to walk around the bases after one and then was able to run in after Chase Hug (Evansville) grounded out to the pitcher. 
The final score of the game was 10-2. The Monsters and Bomb Squad are tied for first in the league. Bot have a 7-4 record, but the Turf Monsters lead with 41 HAs and 68 RS.
