Turf Monsters snatch a win from the Turtles
The Lids Snapping Turtles fall the to Chatham Turf Monsters in a pitching duel. With a final score of 1-0, the Turf Monsters rallied behind their pitcher’s experience and strategy.
Turf Monster starting and winning pitcher Dustin Sprong set the standards early in the game. He had 4 IP, 4 K’s, 1 BB. In the top of the third, he went 3 up – 3 down. That set the spark for the Turf Monsters leading into the bottom of the third.
