WESTFIELD, IN – The Trifectom Tropics won game 1 of the double header against the Edge Rock Local Legends 3-0 on Tuesday, July 6th. With this win, the Tropics move to 10-10 on the season.


The Tropics and Local Legends were stuck in a pitching duel for most of the game. It was not until the 8th inning that the Tropics were able to strike first.

Joe Kido started off the inning, hitting a line drive single. Zach Collins hit Kido in with a line drive double to the wall. The Tropics load the bases after two walks and score after Jackson Taylor was hit by pitch. To score the last run for the Tropics, Spencer Packard hit an RBI single down the right field line.


Tropics pitching was a dominant force during game one.

Kaelan Racculia started the game for the Tropics. After 4.0 innings of work, he allowed 1 hit, no runs, 1 walk, and had 2 strikeouts.

Sloan Thomsen took the mound after, pitching 2.0 innings. During those innings, he allowed 1 hit, no runs, 2 walks, and 1 strikeout.

Jeffery Bryant also had 2.0 innings of relief, allowing no hits, no runs, no walks, and having 4 strikeouts.

To close the game Zach Zaborowski took the mound securing the win for the Tropics. In his 1.0 inning of work, he allowed no hits, no runs, no walks, and had 2 strikeouts.


The Trifectom Tropics take on the Houston Bomb Squad Sunday, July 11th in Kokomo. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
