KOKOMO, IN – The Trifectom Tropics shut out the Huston Bomb Squad last night in a 11 – 0 victory. With this win, the Tropics move to 11 – 15 on the season.


Michael Wyman wasted no time and no opportunity getting the Tropics on the board early. After three straight walks to Nolan Bowser, Jake Hansen, and Carter Mathison, Wyman sends one over the fence to start the game with a Grand Slam.

In the second inning, Grahm Reedy started hot, with a triple to the right field corner. Will Ross was able to send him home with a ground out to the short stop.

The Tropics fired back up in the sixth inning. With the bases loaded after two walks and a single, Bowser was able to send Zach Collins home. Next, Hansen hit a double to right field, adding two more for the tropics. Mathison followed that with another double to right field, also sending two home. To finish the rally, Jackson Taylor hit a single up the middle to score one more run.


Pitching for the Tropics last night was outstanding.

Sloan Thomsen got the start for the Tropics. After 5.0 inning of work, he allowed only 3 hits, no runs, no walks, with five strikeouts.

Tavic Simmons came in for 2.0 innings of relief, allowing only one hit, no runs, and one walk.


The Trifecom Tropics take on the Chatam Hills Turf Monsters Monday, July 19th with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM.
